Movies, which make you cry!

Movie Tips
Very few films that I see can affect me to tears ...

127 Hours (2010)
Adventure | Drama | Thriller

Info:
A mountain climber becomes trapped under a boulder while canyoneering alone near Moab, Utah and resorts to desperate measures in order to survive.
Review:
I came into this movie with high expectations. Danny Boyle, who brought us 28 DAYS LATER and
SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE had a lot to live up to with the quality of prior movies, and he did not disappoint. He brought the challenge of creating an interesting movie based on our main character being immobile to life, and captivating it was. Being stuck with our main character the entire duration of the film was anything but tedious, as we follow the thoughts of canyoneer Aron Ralston (James Franco) as he gets trapped under a rock while exploring the beautiful sights of Utah. The camera does a fabulous job taking us everywhere a wandering mind might migrate in a situation such as this.

Brothers (2009)
Drama | Thriller | War

Info:
A young man comforts his older brother's wife and children after he goes missing in Afghanistan.
Review:
I have just finished a viewing of "Brothers", and boy, this beats out any movie done in the recent years. Lately I've been finding myself disappointed in films that have been badly casted, underdone or overdone, bad writing or failure to achieve the maximum potential had they worked just that little extra.

Gran Torino (2008)
Drama

Info:
Disgruntled Korean War vet Walt Kowalski sets out to reform his neighbor, a young Hmong teenager, who tried to steal Kowalski's prized possession: his 1972 Gran Torino.
Review:
I saw the film and it was unbelievable. Clint Eastwood will have you laughing so hard you almost pee yourself while at the same time breaking your heart and making you want to cry. The movie takes you on a roller-coaster ride and the entire theater stood up in applause afterward

  14. I have actually watched this, I thought it was really well done. Although I couldn't help but think the entire way through what Bear Grylls would have done, I ended up shouting at the screen the entire time for him to drink his piss haha
